Preparation Time: 45 minutes Servings: 2 Complexity: Moderate

When I’m looking for a quick and satisfying dinner that doesn’t require hours in the kitchen, one of my go-to recipes is Thai-inspired fried rice with chicken and egg. This dish will transport you straight to the vibrant streets of Thailand. But before we dive into the recipe, let me share a few tips to help you get that authentic Thai flavor.

Tips for Making Delicious Thai Fried Rice

1. Choosing the Right Rice:The key to perfect fried rice is selecting the right type of rice. You’ll want rice that doesn’t clump together during cooking. I prefer using long-grain rice, but basmati or even parboiled rice works well too. Make sure to rinse the rice thoroughly until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.

2. Additions:While fried rice is delicious on its own, you can easily elevate it by adding meat or seafood. Shrimp, mussels, or squid make great options. For this recipe, I’m using chicken fillet and egg to keep things simple yet flavorful.

3. Spices:To capture the essence of Thai cuisine, certain spices and ingredients are essential. Ginger, garlic, chili pepper, sesame seeds, and soy sauce are must-haves to infuse your rice with that authentic Thai taste.
